The RIG-8HKOR is designed to transport large camera rigs fully assembled or with minimal disassembly of rig components. The frame is constructed using lightweight hollow-core plastic surrounded by thick foam padding. The unique upward-flaring shape has been specifically designed to accommodate both the removable wheel system at the bottom (narrow) and large matte boxes or rig handles at the top (wide). The lid can be extended to fit large rig handles. The interior bottom of the case is lined with a soft, non-slip material that helps prevent the rig from sliding around inside. There are also two (2) tie-down straps that hold the camera rig securely in place during transport. The interior side walls are lined with the soft side of Velcro so that Porta-Brace divider kits (sold separately) can be positioned anywhere in the case. The exterior of the case is made from abrasion-resistant 1000 denier Cordura®. There is a layer of non-slip rubber along the bottom of the case to add an extra level of waterproofing. The rubber material also makes it easy to clean mud and dirt off the bottom of the case. As large camera rigs are often heavy, the RIG-8HKORK offers two convenient means of transport: 1) A comfortable backpack with padded lumbar support or 2) A removable all-terrain wheel system The backpack straps and lumbar support pad are lined with breathable mesh to allow air circulation and thick, comfortable padding. There is a chest strap, waist belt with a large plastic buckle, and weight adjustment straps to ensure the case and equipment can be worn safely and comfortably on your back. The all-terrain wheels feature solid rubber tyres, ball bearings and heavy-duty steel axles that allow the case to roll easily over almost any surface. The wheels can be easily removed and carried separately to prevent them from snagging, bending or breaking during air or van transport. There is a large pocket on the lid, perfect for carrying c-stands, cables and other accessories. There are also straps on the lid for securing a larger tripod. There are 2 medium exterior pockets and 2 small exterior pockets for carrying all sorts of accessories.
