The EMC-XLR series is a specially designed version of the XX series to provide enhanced RF shielding for critical applications in live performance and recording where particular problems exist with radio transmission or mobile phones. The design ensures a continuous RF shield connection from the cable to the chassis connector housing via a circular capacitor around the cable shield. The circular capacitors act as a high-pass filter with a cut-off frequency around 10 MHz. A 24 Ohm at 1 MHz EMI suppression ferrite bead between pin 1 and the cable shield provides a low-pass filter for better RF rejection. Features - 3-pole male and female XLR cable connector with integrated capacitive shield-to-housing connection - Circular capacitor around the cable shield enabling a low-inductance shield connection to the connector housing - Female connector with peripheral ground spring ensuring precise connection to the mating housing - Cable shield connection to pin 1 includes an EMI suppression bead to block high frequencies - Avoids ground loops as there is no LF shield connection to ground - Robust die-cast zinc housing, durable and resistant
