One could certainly wonder why spend more than 100, - ¤ for a microphone cable: The line consists of 3 wires of 0.20 mm² and the double opposite spiral screen. This configuration is prescribed by many European broadcasting companies and allows to maintain interference in the RF range (e.g. mobile phones) even more effectively.

The difference with ordinary microphone cables: The screen is 50% on pin 1 and 50% on the housing of the XLR connectors, which are also bridged. The third additional wire is connected to the shielding together on pin 1. This information is neither available here nor on Neumann's website.

This microphone cable is professional and perfectly suited, thanks to its small diameter and double helix, for suspended installation of microphones. The double helix prevents twisting if the cable has already been suspended for a few hours.

The sound of the cable is excellent. Thick cable sections are approximate. Height drop for microphone lines is not necessary if a cable length of 300 m is not exceeded and if the microphone has a low output impedance.
