Blueshape dual parallel charger for 3-Stud battery
The BLUESHAPE dual Gold Mount 6A travel charger enables sequential charging of two Gold Mount batteries and features a 4-pin XLR power output. It is very convenient to use, with a carry handle and a rotating stand underneath for desktop use. This updated version of the CGTR2 charger allows you to use the XLR output as a backup inverter with a quick-switch function, and features a higher simultaneous charge of 6A. It is also fan-less to ensure silent charging. Batteries under 190Wh take less than two hours to charge, whilst batteries up to 290Wh can take just over four hours to charge to 100%. The charger features a retractable stand that stores neatly underneath when not in use. It can be powered via an included AC cable or the separately available BLUESHAPE car adapter. A data port enables USB connection with a separately available LEMO 4-pin to USB cable to monitor charging activity and log battery data. The BLUESHAPE BSCVMON cable and optional maintenance utility are required for this, and up to four chargers can be monitored on a single computer. This charger incorporates BLUESHAPE technology called IPCS (Intelligent Pre-charge System) which enables it to provide charge at increased speeds to batteries equipped with fast charging capabilities, such as pre-charge protection and cell balancing. IPCS does this by initially raising very low voltage cells to a state where charge can be applied with medium-low current without causing damage. It then charges with 300mA current for a period, and when the battery reaches a reasonable voltage state, the charger speeds up the charging process by switching to full power. To counter the increased heat caused by this fast charging capability, the charger uses another BLUESHAPE technology called CTP (Charger Thermal Protection) which allows the electronics to determine the best possible charging profiles without causing damage, even in adverse temperature conditions.
