Blueshape Power Station
PWS-RUGGED MINI 3S is the evolution of the Power Station family, designed for field productions with medium to high power devices.
This useful device integrates and combines the power of up to 2 3-Stud batteries into a single source and provides 3 different outputs via XLR connectors:
- 1x 14V, XLR 4-pin
- 1x 28V, XLR 3-pin
- 1x 48V, XLR 3-pin
While the 14V output is always available, the 28V-48V outputs are alternative and user-selectable via a switch.
PWS-RUGGED MINI 3S is built in a lightweight, waterproof and unbreakable enclosure, with a double-hinge locking system and a non-slip handle for field comfort.
PWS-RUGGED MINI 3S also includes 2 independent 65W chargers: when mains power is connected, the installed batteries are charged accordingly while continuing to supply the requested DC power. In this way, PWS-RUGGED MINI 3S can also serve as a powerful UPS system, as a sudden mains power failure will not affect the DC output which remains powered by the installed batteries.
The BLUESHAPE power station concept is a practical system for integrating the power of multiple 3-Stud batteries into a single source that can be used anywhere and anytime with simultaneous dual-voltage output.
The available outputs, 14V (XLR 4-pin) and 28V or 48V (XLR 3-pin), operate in parallel and share the available input power: output power is available simultaneously on all ports.
Thanks to the highly efficient internal electronics, exceeding 92% when supplying higher loads, the system remains cool even after hours of operation for safe and prolonged reliability.
Depending on the batteries installed, the quad system can supply power as follows:
Installation of 2 BG batteries, HD (high discharge) models:
- up to 170W on the 14V output
- up to 280W on the 48V output
Installation of 2 standard BG batteries (normal discharge):
- up to 140W on the 14V output
- up to 240W on the 48V output
Batteries are hot-swappable to maintain a constant uninterrupted power supply, even when a battery is depleted and needs to be replaced (if the remaining batteries are capable of compensating and supplying more current).
A series of LEDs is used to indicate the level of current supplied instantaneously by each battery, giving the user an indication of the load each battery is bearing:
- Lower LEDs: flash for current supplied up to 1.5A, steady for current above 1.5A
- Middle LEDs: flash for current supplied up to 4.5A, steady for current above 4.5A
- Upper LEDs: flash for current supplied up to 8A, steady for current above 8A
