The SmallRig Sony A6000/A6300/A6500 ILCE-6000/ILCE-6300/ILCE-A6500/Nex-7 1661 cage is a fitted aluminium exoskeleton that protects your camera and provides mounting options for attaching accessories. With the camera in the cage, you still have access to the SD card slot, battery compartment and all camera controls.
The integrated accessory shoe is used to connect lightweight accessories, such as a microphone, EVF mount and more. A 1/4''-20 threaded hole at the front allows it to be attached to a 15 mm micro-rod with 1/4'' thread 915 for focus tracking. For handheld shooting, adding a top handle is a good choice. This cage is also compatible with the Sony A6500 wooden handle 1970. It allows you to mount the HDMI cable clamp 1822 to protect the HDMI port. Additionally, you can purchase the Metabones lens adapter mount 1787 to protect the lens port from the pressure of long and heavy lenses. The front of the cage is designed to be anti-twist and provide excellent heat dissipation, beneficial for more comfortable shooting.
