The Tilta Sony PXW-FX9 Camera Cage is a modular system with a VCT-U14 baseplate and shoulder pad. The cage features an integrated lens adapter support and 15 mm rod ports at the top, front and rear. For mounting, it provides 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes for accessories and tripod, ARRI-style anti-rotation 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes, and ARRI-style rosettes for extension arms and handles.
VCT-U14 Baseplate with Shoulder Pad
The VCT-U14 baseplate features an ergonomic shoulder pad and 15 mm LWS rod support at the front and rear. Two 20 cm rods are included to attach accessories such as a follow focus. ARRI-style rosettes on the sides of the baseplate enable the installation of extension arms or additional handles, and an integrated adjustable lens support at the front helps support longer and heavier lenses. The baseplate also features a quick-release plate on the bottom that provides 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes for tripod mounting, and this plate is interchangeable with certain other Tilta quick-release plates.
Top and Side Plates
The top plate attaches to the top of the camera without interfering with the original top handle. It features a 15 mm rod clamp on top for mounting an EVF and accessories on the included short 15 mm rods of 4.5 cm. The side plate connects the top plate to the baseplate, and both plates provide multiple ARRI-style anti-rotation 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes for integrating additional accessories.
