Camera cage with battery plate for Sony PXW-FX9 (V-Mount)
The V-mount version of the camera cage with battery plate for the Sony FX9 from Tilta is a complete modular system with a V-mount battery plate power distribution box and a VCT-U14 baseplate with shoulder rest. The power box offers two 2-pin LEMO outputs and three D-Tap outputs, and it comes with an external XLR power input module to provide an alternative power solution for the camera. The cage also features an integrated lens adapter support and 15mm rod ports at the top, front and rear.
For mounting, the cage has 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory and tripod mounting threads, ARRI-style 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 anti-rotation threads, and ARRI-style rosettes for extension arms and handles.
V-Mount battery plate
The battery plate attaches to the included top plate at the rear of your camera and allows you to power the camera and accessories. It provides two 2-pin LEMO outputs and three D-Tap outputs, and comes with an external 4-pin XLR power input module. The battery plate can be adjusted forwards and backwards from the rear of the camera via a bracket to help optimally balance the camera on your shoulder.
VCT-U14 baseplate with shoulder rest
The VCT-U14 baseplate features an ergonomic shoulder rest and 15mm LWS rod supports at the front and rear. Two 7.9" rods are included for attaching accessories such as a follow focus. ARRI-style standard rosettes on the sides of the baseplate allow installation of extension arms or additional handles, and an integrated, adjustable lens support at the front provides support for longer and heavier lenses. The baseplate also features a quick-release plate on the bottom that offers 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tripod mounting threads, and this plate is interchangeable with certain other Tilta quick-release plates.
Top and side plates
The top plate attaches to the top of the camera without interfering with the camera's original top handle. It features a 15mm rod clamp on top for mounting an EVF and accessories on the included short 1.8" 15mm rods. The side plate connects the top plate to the baseplate, and the top and side plates offer multiple ARRI-style 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 anti-rotation threads for integrating additional accessories.
