Advanced Modular Cage Kit for RED KOMODO
This advanced modular cage kit from SmallRig equips you with all the necessary components to customise your RED KOMODO configuration according to your production needs. A complete camera cage consisting of three modular pieces protects your camera whilst offering 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting threads for accessory integration. A baseplate, a Manfrotto plate mounting kit with a 15mm dual-rod baseplate, two handles, a lens mount adapter support, a monitor bracket, a V-mount battery plate and a power cable are all included in the kit.
Modular Camera Cage
Three plates - a top plate and two side plates - make up the camera cage for your KOMODO. Multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with anti-rotation pins support articulated arms, cable clamps and other accessory mounts. NATO rails on the top and side plates allow integration of the included handles. Remove the top plate for compatibility with the Outrigger handle or RED Touch 7" DSMC3 monitor.
Top Handle
This cheese plate-style top handle features multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with anti-rotation pins, as well as an integrated Allen key to secure accessories. A cold shoe at the front of the handle can support an external monitor for better visibility during low-angle shooting. It attaches to the cage's top plate via a NATO clamp and can be adjusted forwards and backwards for optimal positioning.
Lens Mount Adapter Support
The lens mount adapter support attaches to the camera just below your lens mount and features points for directly securing lens mount adapters. This adds extra stability whilst protecting the mount's integrity. The adapter is compatible with the Metabones PL to RF T Cine Speed Booster Ultra 0.71x and the Metabones EF to RF T Cine Speed Booster Ultra 0.71x.
Monitor Bracket
This monitor bracket attaches to the front of the top handle with an integrated ARRI 3/8"-16 anti-rotation screw. Mount compatible monitors via its 1/4"-20 screw. The bracket can tilt 180° and swivel 360°, allowing you to easily manipulate your viewing angle.
Rotating NATO Handle
This handle attaches to the side of your rig via a NATO clamp and can rotate 360° for maximum comfort thanks to its single-button progressive adjustment.
15mm Dual-Rod Baseplate
Using the baseplate and Manfrotto plate mounting kit, you can integrate 15mm dual-rod clamps into your rig configuration. The baseplate itself features a Manfrotto 501 plate on one side and an ARRI dovetail plate on the other for compatibility with various tripod systems. Attach separately available 15mm rods to the mounting kit to use rod-compatible accessories, such as focus systems, with your KOMODO.
V-Mount Battery Plate
This battery plate mounts to the rear of your KOMODO camera housing and features a V-mount locking system to secure a battery of your choice. Its lightweight and compact design doesn't add significant bulk to your rig. The plate supports fast-charging power to keep your accessories powered during long shooting days. Use the included D-Tap to LEMO power cable to power your camera with the battery.
