The ARRI CBP-6 compact baseplate, compact and lightweight, is designed for use with the ALEXA 35 cinema camera and provides a sliding baseplate as well as a shoulder pad. The baseplate mounts onto the BUD-1 dovetail rail, and its sliding function offers balance and support, particularly when using long lenses. The quick release system has been improved compared to previous baseplate models, and it also allows the camera to be lifted directly off the rail. It supports both 15 mm LWS rods and optional 15 mm studio rods.
