AJA's Corvid 88 series is designed to maximise your video and audio input/output capabilities. Configure each SDI connection individually as input or output and mix formats for up to eight HD or SD channels on a single card. As demand for higher resolutions increases, combine SDI connections for multiple 4K/UltraHD channels, offering incredible flexibility and future-proofing with broadcast and ingest servers or channel-in-a-box systems.
The Corvid 88 is designed for development partner applications requiring multiple simultaneous input and output streams. The Corvid 88 extends the concept of the Corvid 44 by offering a total of eight BNC connections on a single card. Each BNC connection can be programmed as either input or output and each can support a different video format, provided all formats use the same clock synchronisation. This allows maximum flexibility in applications where high-density input/output is required, such as broadcast or ingest servers. The connections can also be linked to support Dual Link or 4K/UltraHD formats.
Multi-stream, multi-format PCIe I/O card: The Corvid 88 enables AJA development partner applications to access up to eight simultaneous input and output streams on a single PCIe card, making it perfect for ingest and playout servers as well as channel-in-a-box systems.
High-density ingest and playout: Each BNC connection on the Corvid 88 can be programmed as either input or output and each can support a different video format, provided all formats use the same clock synchronisation. Connections can also be linked to support dual link or 4K/UltraHD formats.
High frame rate support: The Corvid 88 supports 4K (4096 x 2160) and UltraHD (3840 x 2160) high frame rate (HFR) workflows. Working at frame rates of 48p, 50p and 60p ensures smooth motion for the most demanding 4K and UltraHD applications. High frame rates are not limited to 4K and UltraHD with the Corvid 88; multiple HD 720p and 1080p inputs and outputs are also supported at frame rates up to 50p and 60p, making the Corvid 88 extremely flexible for your current and future needs.
LTC and Reference input: The Corvid 88 provides a switchable external LTC/Reference input connection at the rear of the card. A second LTC input is available on an internal connector to provide additional reference to the Corvid 88.
RS-422: An integrated RS-422 connection is available either as an external connection on the full-height Corvid 88 or as an internal connection on the low-profile Corvid 88. RS-422 enables control of external devices for precise frame-by-frame ingest and transfers.
