The rack-mountable Tascam CD-200BT CD player with Bluetooth receiver allows you to play CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs and data CDs with WAV, MP2 and MP3 files in addition to audio via Bluetooth. Whilst you can only pair one Bluetooth device with the CD-200BT at a time, you can store up to 8 devices, allowing for quick switching between them.

The CD player itself is designed and manufactured by TEAC and features a 10-second anti-shock memory, protecting your playback from vibrations and CD skips. The CD-200BT also features a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack auxiliary input for integrating another audio source. The unit has various output options including stereo RCA analogue outputs and coaxial and optical digital outputs. A 6.35mm headphone output on the front panel with independent volume control allows you to use the CD-200BT for personal listening. The unit can be controlled with the included remote control and is rack-mountable with the included mounting screw kit.


Wireless playback from Bluetooth devices

Thanks to the antenna located at the front of the CD-200BT, playback signals from audio files can be received from various Bluetooth-compatible devices. The file types that can be played depend on the transmitting device; thus, any file type that can be played by iTunes, Windows Media Player, smartphone playback applications and other music applications can be played via this device. Bluetooth playback uses a wireless connection, so no new cabling is required to use compatible audio sources as long as they are within signal range, allowing for easy and quick playback


Device selection function

Bluetooth playback requires pairing. Normally, pairing is done one-to-one, but the CD-200BT has a device selection function that can be used to pair with multiple transmitting devices. By pre-registering the devices to be used, you can easily switch between transmitting devices for playback with minimal connection interruption time (only one device can be used for playback at a time). Additionally, as the name of the transmitting device currently being used for audio playback can be displayed on the screen, you can check the connection status on this device


A2DP playback

Different profiles are used for Bluetooth transmission depending on the application. The CD-200BT supports A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) for music playback, and SBC (Sub Band Codec), a standard A2DP codec. Furthermore, it supports the aptX codec, making high-quality wireless audio playback possible. The aptX codec also has an error recovery function, so audio is much less likely to be interrupted, compared to ordinary SBC transmission

10-second anti-shock memory
