Digital audio processing for high-quality sound
Sony's advanced digital audio processing technology ensures high-quality sound with improved transient response performance. A new [optional] digital audio interface enables direct digital audio recording with many Sony professional camcorders and Alpha interchangeable lens cameras via the SMAD-P5 MI Multi Interface Shoe adapter, bypassing A/D and D/A conversion steps to guarantee excellent sound quality.

Sony's unique and user-friendly NFC SYNC function enables quick and intuitive secure channel setting between transmitter and receiver.
