Samyang XP 14mm f/2.4 Lens
A fixed wide-angle lens designed for Nikon F-mount digital SLR cameras, the SP 14mm f/2.4 combines an advanced optical design with simple and intuitive handling. Incorporating 18 elements in 14 groups, this lens uses a series of aspherical, low-dispersion and high-refractive-index elements to reduce colour fringing, aberrations and distortion, producing sharp and clear images with accurate colours. The Ultra Multi-Coating is also present, along with an integrated lens hood, to suppress reflections and ghosting, improving contrast when shooting in direct and intense lighting conditions. Complementing the imaging capabilities, a manual focus design is used, allowing work with subjects as close as 28 cm, and the aluminium alloy body is both lightweight and durable to withstand work in various conditions.
- Fixed wide-angle lens designed for Nikon F-mount FX-format digital SLR cameras, this lens can also be used with DX models where it will offer an equivalent focal length of 21 mm.
- The complex optical design of 18 elements in 14 groups includes two aspherical elements, one hybrid aspherical element, two extra-low dispersion elements and three high-refractive-index elements, all combined to reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations as well as colour fringing, while improving sharpness, clarity and colour accuracy.
- An Ultra Multi-Coating has been applied to the individual elements to minimise ghosting and reflections, increasing contrast and colour neutrality when shooting in intense lighting conditions.
