The Samyang 20mm T1.9 ED AS UMC VDSLR is a fast wide-angle lens. The optical structure consists of 13 elements in 12 groups, of which three elements are made of high-quality ED glass with low chromatic dispersion and two elements are aspherical. All lenses feature a UMC-type multi-layer anti-reflection coating that provides exceptional light transmission.
This lens is supplied for the most popular DSLR cameras with full-frame, APS-C or smaller sensors, and covers most digital SLRs on the market: Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Fujifilm, Micro Four Thirds and Sony E.
On full-frame cameras, this new lens is a high-quality wide-angle perfectly suited to architectural and landscape photography. Photographers with APS-C sensor cameras get a perfect lens for photojournalism and landscape photography. Mounted on a Micro Four Thirds sensor camera, the lens becomes a very bright standard lens equivalent to a 40mm focal length.
The Samyang VDSLR series is a range of video optics designed for use on digital SLRs, mirrorless cameras and camcorders with EF or Sony mounts. The VDSLR series has the same optical design as photo lenses, but with adaptations for use in video production.
