Sony E-Mount FF 400 mm GM F2.8 OSS

Combining a super telephoto focal length, a bright aperture and a lightweight design, this FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS lens for Sony E-mount cameras is ideal for sports, wildlife and nature photographers. The fast f/2.8 aperture offers excellent depth-of-field control to isolate subjects as well as maximising performance in low-light situations. Three fluorite elements reduce chromatic aberration and an ED element further improves performance and image quality by reducing reflections and ghosting when shooting in challenging conditions.

Weighing just 6.4 lb, this lens is incredibly portable for an optic of this size. The weight of the lens is also redistributed towards the rear where it would rest on a monopod, making it easier to track subjects and pan. Furthermore, Sony's XD Linear Motor autofocus system tracks subjects quickly and silently within the frame, even when shooting at high speed. In addition, Optical SteadyShot can combine with in-body stabilisation to provide 5-axis stabilisation.

Videographers will also be pleased to find a motorised focus function, which offers smooth and consistent focusing during filming. The magnesium alloy body of this lens is also weather-sealed to protect against dirt, dust and moisture when shooting in challenging conditions. A tripod collar can be rotated around the lens to offer maximum functionality with tripods or monopods.
