The Canon CN-E 35mm T1.5 L F Cinema Prime is a manual focus prime lens covering full-frame and Super 35 sensor formats.
The lens offers a maximum aperture of T1.5, useful when shooting in low-light conditions or when you want to capture that extremely shallow depth of field effect. It features an 11-blade aperture that produces rounded out-of-focus highlights for a natural-looking bokeh. The lens barrel features a smooth 300° rotation with no hard stop from close focus to infinity, giving you a high degree of precision and consistent focusing.
The lens is designed to minimise focus breathing and features an innovative glass construction that neutralises barrel expansion and contraction to prevent temperature-induced marking deviations. It features focus markings on both sides of the barrel, with the rear markings on an angled surface, making them readable from either side of the camera. It also features a dust- and water-resistant housing to minimise maintenance during normal use.
The CN-E 14mm and the five other CN-E lenses share the same 114mm front barrel diameter, the same focus rotation, the same 36° aperture rotation and the same focus and aperture gear positions, making lens changes easier.
