Canon RF 800mm F11 IS STM Lens
With super-long reach and a super-compact design, the Canon RF 800mm f/11 IS STM is a unique fixed telephoto lens offering a distinct blend of focal length and form factor. Characterised by its retractable design and fixed f/11 aperture, this lens's slender profile makes super-telephoto handheld shooting possible, and the effective four-stop optical image stabilisation also helps to achieve sharp images in challenging lighting conditions. The reduced size is also due to a distinct optical arrangement, which uses a gapless dual-layer diffractive optics instead of several heavier individual elements, effectively controlling colour fringes and chromatic aberrations for great clarity. An STM stepping motor complements this design by offering fast and silent autofocus performance, suitable for both photo and video needs. Additionally, a control ring is integrated into the lens design for intuitive control of exposure settings directly from the lens itself. If you decide you need more than 800mm, this lens is compatible with the RF 1.4x and 2x extenders for equivalent focal lengths of 1120mm or 1600mm, respectively.
