A telephoto prime lens perfectly suited to portraits and other selective compositions, the Samyang 85mm f/1.4 Mk2 for FUJIFILM X mount features a fast maximum aperture of f/1.4 to accommodate low-light conditions and control depth of field. The optical design incorporates a hybrid aspherical element that helps reduce distortion and spherical aberrations for a high degree of sharpness and accurate rendering. An Ultra Multi-Coating treatment has also been applied to reduce flare and improve contrast and colour fidelity. The manual focus design allows working with subjects as close as 1.1 m, and a nine-blade rounded aperture diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.
