Samyang presents a new MK2 range, improved with weather sealing, focal lengths inscribed on both sides, sleek design and 9 aperture blades. Inheriting Samyang's incredible cinematic video quality, this pioneering series of cine lenses will continue to help independent filmmakers and small-budget project directors expand their creative horizons as the first cine lens set.
The MK2 kit includes 4 of the most commonly used focal lengths: 24mm T1.5, 35mm T1.5, 50mm T1.5 and 85mm T1.5. In addition to providing the appreciated image quality and fast T-stop aperture values of the existing VDSLR series, the new models now feature weather sealing, 9 aperture blades and their focal lengths are visible from both sides for more professional use. The range is highly versatile, available in 7 camera mounts.
For independent filmmakers, a versatile lens saves time and money. The Samyang MK2 series features fast T1.5 apertures across all 4 models, supporting filmmakers and allowing them to focus more on the scene and creativity, without having to worry about image quality, even in low-light situations. Additionally, the reduced depth of field available blurs the background and highlights the subject, adding depth to the story.
The new MK2 series has been updated with 9 aperture blades and is capable of producing the latest image trends. The soft, circular bokeh adds a three-dimensional quality and a pleasing blur effect. 18-pointed star effects can also be created by stopping down to small apertures.
