The MK2 continues the lineage with the same multi-layer coating process, industry-standard geared focus and iris rings, and a fast T1.5 aperture, and it adds a 9-blade iris for beautiful soft bokeh, weather sealing to protect against moisture, and focal lengths on both sides for greater versatility for camera assistants.
This 35mm lens offers 63.1° coverage when used with full-frame cameras. Aspherical lenses produce sharply defined images with minimal distortion and chromatic aberrations, with a minimum focus distance of just under 30cm from the lens. The 9-blade iris also allows you to create up to 18 stunning sunburst rays when you fully close the aperture.
A removable petal-shaped lens hood protects against flare when shooting without a matte box, and the threaded front of the lens accepts a 77mm filter.
