Upgrade your cinema lens kit with this Samyang 50mm T1.5 MK2 cinema lens available in MFT mount. The MK2 continues the lineage with the same multi-layer coating process, industry-standard cinema-style focus and aperture rings, and a fast T1.5 aperture, and it adds a 9-blade aperture for beautiful soft bokeh, weather sealing to protect against moisture, and focal distances on both sides for increased versatility for camera assistants.
This 50mm lens offers coverage of 23.6° when used with Micro Four Thirds cameras. Hybrid aspherical lenses produce sharply defined images with minimal distortion and chromatic aberrations, with a minimum focus distance of approximately 45 cm from the lens. The 9-blade aperture also allows you to create up to 18 spectacular star rays when the aperture is fully closed.
A removable petal-shaped lens hood protects against flares when shooting without a matte box, and the threaded front of the lens accepts a 77mm filter.
Features
- In addition to offering the appreciated image quality and fast T-values of the existing range, the MK2 models now feature weather sealing, nine aperture blades, and focal distances visible on both sides for more professional use.
- The MK2 range is highly versatile and available in Canon EF, Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon F, Canon M, Fuji X and MFT mounts.
- Ultra Multi-Coated lenses minimise reflections and ghosting, and lenses are matched to a standard that eliminates the need to acquire a complete set of lenses at the same time.
- Each lens in the Samyang MK2 cinema range shares the same focus and aperture ring positions, speeding up lens changes as accessories such as follow focus or aperture motors do not need to be repositioned.
- Focal lengths and measurements in feet and metres on both sides of the lens.
- De-clicked aperture ring for smooth aperture adjustments.
- A minimum focus distance of approximately 45 cm allows you to get close to your subject.
- A removable petal-shaped lens hood protects against flares without a matte box.
