Sigma 56 mm F1.4 DC DN Black Canon-M
A particularly elegant portrait lens, the 56mm f/1.4 DC DN is part of Sigma's Contemporary series and is designed for use with Canon M-mount mirrorless cameras. The lens is characterised by its large maximum aperture of f/1.4, which is suited to working in difficult lighting conditions and also offers better depth-of-field control to isolate subjects and work with selective focus techniques. The optical design uses two aspherical elements and one SLD element, which help reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations for increased sharpness and clarity. A Super Multi-Layer coating has also been applied to suppress reflections and ghosting, thereby improving contrast and colour accuracy when working in bright lighting conditions. Complementing the optics, a stepping AF motor is suited to both photo and video applications thanks to its fast, precise and near-silent performance.
