Sigma 56 mm F1.4 DC DN Black Canon-M
A particularly elegant portrait lens, the 56mm f/1.4 DC DN is part of Sigma's Contemporary series and is designed for use with Canon M-mount mirrorless cameras. The lens is characterised by its large maximum aperture of f/1.4, which is suited to working in difficult lighting conditions and also offers better depth-of-field control to isolate subjects and work with selective focus techniques. The optical design uses two aspherical elements and one SLD element, which help reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations for increased sharpness and clarity. A Super Multi-Layer coating has also been applied to suppress reflections and ghosting, thereby improving contrast and colour accuracy when working in bright lighting conditions. Complementing the optics, a stepping AF motor is suited to both photo and video applications thanks to its fast, precise and near-silent performance. Features - Part of the Contemporary line of Sigma's Global Vision series, this lens is designed to achieve a balance between convenience and performance, combining a compact and lightweight construction with versatile handling and remarkable optical attributes. - The portrait prime lens is designed for Canon M-mount mirrorless cameras with APS-C format and offers a 35 mm equivalent focal length of 89.6 mm. - The large maximum aperture of f/1.4 excels in low-light conditions and also offers increased depth-of-field control for selective focus effects. - A Special Low Dispersion (SLD) element reduces colour fringing and chromatic aberrations for greater clarity and colour accuracy. - Two aspherical elements are used to limit distortion and spherical aberrations and also contribute to increased overall sharpness and precise rendering. - A Super Multi-Layer coating has been applied to the lens elements to minimise reflections and ghosting and help produce images rich in contrast and with neutral colours, even in backlit conditions. - A stepping AF motor benefits photographers and videographers with its fast, precise and near-silent performance. - The nine-blade rounded aperture diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality. - The bayonet mount is constructed from brass to ensure precision and durability. In addition, a rubber seal is incorporated into the mount design to make it resistant to dust and splashes.
