With an ultra-wide field of view and elegant design, the Venus Optics Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL Sony E-mount lens is a unique rectilinear wide-angle lens, ideal for interior, architectural, nature and landscape applications. The immense 126° angle of view is supported by an advanced optical design, which includes high-refractive, low-dispersion aspherical elements, to achieve well-corrected, sharp images with accurate colors. The lens features manual focus and allows working with subjects up to 19 cm away, and its built-in petal-shaped lens hood helps block stray light that could cause unwanted flare.
Features
- The ultra-wide-angle lens is designed for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, but can also be used with APS-C models where it provides an equivalent focal length of 16.5mm.
- Two aspherical elements and one ultra-high refractive index glass element help control distortion and spherical aberrations for improved sharpness and accurate rendering.
- Three extra-low dispersion elements are used to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations to produce high clarity and color accuracy.
- The impressive 126° angle of view is combined with a rectilinear design, which renders subjects with minimal distortion to suit landscape and architectural applications.
- The manual focus design is facilitated by a built-in focus tab for intuitive handling and a minimum focus distance of 19 cm is suitable for close-up work with subjects.
- The built-in petal-shaped lens hood helps prevent stray light from causing flare and also provides physical protection to the front lens element.
