With an ultra-wide field of view and sleek design, the Venus Optics Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL in silver is a unique wide-angle lens with rectilinear rendering, ideal for indoor, architectural, nature, and landscape applications. The immense 126° angle of view is supported by an advanced optical design, which includes high-refractive index and low-dispersion aspherical elements, to deliver well-corrected, sharp images with faithful colours. The lens features manual focus and allows working with subjects as close as 19 cm, and its built-in petal-shaped lens hood helps to block stray light that could cause unwanted flare.

- Two aspherical elements and one element in ultra-high refractive index glass help to control distortion and spherical aberrations for improved sharpness and accurate rendering.
- Three extra-low dispersion elements are used to reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations to produce high clarity and colour accuracy.
- An impressive 126° angle of view is combined with a rectilinear design, which renders subjects with minimal distortion to suit landscape and architectural applications. This ultra-wide field of view will exceed that of a rangefinder camera's viewfinder; an external electronic viewfinder or Live View method must be used for accurate composition.
- Rangefinder-coupled for accurate focusing using the camera's viewfinder; although the lens has a minimum focus distance of 19 cm, the lens/rangefinder is only coupled for accurate focusing down to 70 cm and this distance is highlighted on the focus distance scale. To work between 19 cm and 70 cm, Live View methods must be used for accurate focusing.
- The built-in petal-shaped lens hood helps to prevent stray light from causing flare and also provides physical protection to the front element of the lens.
- The front of the lens is threaded to accept optional 62mm filters. The lens is also compatible with an optional dedicated 100mm filter holder.
- The five-blade diaphragm produces distinct 10-point stars and specular highlights when stopped down and photographing point light sources.
