Laowa 15mm f/2 Zero-D Lens
The Laowa 15mm F2 Zero-D is an ultra wide-angle lens with a 110-degree field of view available for Sony E / Nikon Z / Canon RF / Leica L mounts. The ultra-fast f/2 aperture will also be appreciated by all, especially astrophotography and landscape photographers.
Near-zero distortion
The Laowa 15mm f/2 FE Zero-D is the second member of the "Close to Zero" distortion range, following the launch of the 12mm f/2.8 Zero-D. The lens is specially designed to eliminate the optical distortion that generally exists in wide-angle lenses when focusing at infinity. Straight lines will be preserved.
Super lightweight and compact
Currently the widest rectilinear f/2 lens on the market that features a native E-mount (i.e. it does not require additional adapters). It is an ultra wide-angle, ultra-fast full-frame prime lens. Despite these extreme specifications, Venus Optics has managed to minimise the weight of the lens to approximately 500g and 8cm in length. This compact and lightweight lens comprises 12 elements in 9 groups. Even though distortion is minimised and chromatic aberrations are kept relatively low, the Laowa 15mm F2 still delivers excellent optical performance from corner to corner.
72mm filter thread
Ultra wide-angle and fast lenses on the market tend to be enormous and have a dome-shaped front element. This is a headache for landscape photographers who often need to use filters. Venus Optics understands their needs and manages to design a flat front surface and include a 72mm filter thread in the lens. 72mm screw-in filters can be used and no additional investment in a bulky filter holder is required.
Ultra wide-angle and fast
The extreme 110° field of view and ultra-fast f/2 aperture allow photographers to easily create stunning astrophotography shots. It also offers photographers a fast, wide-angle option for landscape photography and low-light shooting.
Close focusing distance
Photographers can take advantage of the super close focusing distance of just 15 cm. Combined with the f/2 aperture, it is an excellent tool for creating bokeh and wide-angle close-ups.
De-clicked aperture
The new Laowa 15mm f/2 FE Zero-D is specially designed with an aperture switch that allows users to quickly toggle between de-clicked and clicked aperture. This additional feature is essential for videographers.

- Leica L mount
- Rectilinear optics
- Very low distortion
