Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D
Combining an ultra-wide field of view with a particularly compact design, this Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D lens from Venus Optics is a Canon EF-M mount lens offering an equivalent focal length of 14.4mm. As a Zero-D lens, the optical design of this 9mm f/2.8 is specifically designed to limit distortion in order to clearly and accurately render landscapes and architectural subjects. The optical construction also incorporates a pair of aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements to control spherical and chromatic aberrations, thereby improving sharpness and reducing colour fringing. A Frog Eye coating has also been applied to repel dust and moisture from the front element of the lens, making it easier to work in challenging environmental conditions. Its elegant and lightweight design is perfectly suited to mirrorless cameras and is ideal for everyday photography as well as use on gimbals. Additionally, a petal-shaped lens hood is also integrated into the lens design to reduce flare and ghosting when shooting in bright lighting conditions.
