Combining an ultra-wide field of view with a particularly compact design, this Venus Optics Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D lens with Fujifilm X mount offers an equivalent focal length of 13.5 mm. As a Zero-D lens, the optical construction of this 9mm f/2.8 is specifically designed to limit distortion in order to provide clear and accurate representations of landscapes and architectural subjects. The optical construction also incorporates two aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements to control spherical and chromatic aberrations, thereby improving sharpness and reducing colour fringing. A Frog Eye coating has also been applied to repel dust and moisture from the front element of the lens, which is advantageous when working in challenging environmental conditions. Its elegant and lightweight design is well suited to mirrorless cameras and is ideal for everyday photography as well as use on gimbals. Additionally, a petal-shaped lens hood is also integrated into the lens design to reduce flare and ghosting when working in bright lighting conditions.
