This Venus Optics Laowa 9mm T2.9 Zero-D cine lens with Canon RF mount features foot and metre markings, covers sensors up to Super35 and offers a 113° field of view when using an APS-C sensor. It is perfectly suited for outdoor and landscape shooting, aerial drone productions, underwater shooting, independent productions and vlogging, and is optimised for digital cinematography with cinema cameras such as the RED KOMODO. It is lightweight and compact, making it suitable for handheld shooting and use on gimbals, as well as tripod shooting.
The 9mm cine lens features a maximum aperture of T2.9 with 15 elements in 10 groups. Its 7-blade diaphragm delivers smooth and pleasing bokeh, a shallow depth of field with little or no distortion, and a minimum focus distance of 12 cm. The focus and iris rings are equipped with standard MOD 0.8 gears that fit standard cinema focus motors. It is also compact, with a 58 mm front diameter and a 55 mm filter thread for adding filters. Focus and iris markings are located on the side of the lens to assist camera assistants. A rigid Pelican case with custom foam is included to protect and transport the lens.
