Laowa 9mm f/5.6 FF RL
Characterised by its extremely wide field of view and rectilinear rendering, the Laowa 9mm f/5.6 FF RL lens for Nikon Z mount, from Venus Optics, is a prime lens offering a particularly wide perspective that is perfectly suited for interior, architectural, nature and landscape photography. The immense 135° angle of view is complemented by an advanced optical design that uses low dispersion, aspherical and high refractive index elements to control various aberrations and distortions for high sharpness, clarity and colour accuracy. The lens features manual focus and allows working with subjects up to 12 cm away, and its built-in petal-shaped lens hood helps block stray light that can cause unwanted flare. Additionally, the lens is characterised by its particularly compact size, making it ideal for itinerant photography and travel. Features - The ultra-wide-angle lens is designed for Nikon Z FX-format mirrorless cameras but can also be used with DX models where it offers an equivalent focal length of 13.5mm. - Two extra-low dispersion elements are used to reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations to produce high clarity and colour accuracy. - Two aspherical elements and one ultra-high refractive index glass element help control distortion and spherical aberrations for improved sharpness and accurate rendering. - The impressive 135° angle of view is combined with a rectilinear design, which renders subjects with minimal distortion to suit landscape and architectural applications. - Manual focus allows working with subjects up to 12 cm away and a focus tab is present for easier handling and control. - The built-in petal-shaped lens hood helps prevent stray light from causing flare and also provides physical protection to the front element of the lens. - The five-blade diaphragm produces distinct 10-point stars and specular highlights when stopped down and photographed with point light sources.
