From macro to infinity, the Laowa 60mm f/2.8 2X Ultra-Macro with Pentax K mount from Venus Optics is a portrait-type prime lens offering the unique ability to photograph close-up subjects at a distance of 2.4" with a magnification ratio of 2:1, as well as distant subjects with infinity focus and 0.1x magnification. The versatility offered by this manual focus, manual aperture selection lens allows you to work with close-up subjects and then quickly switch to distant subjects on a tripod without the need for extension tubes or other adapters. The lens is optimised for use on APS-C format sensors, where it will provide an equivalent focal length of 90mm, and it can also be used on full-frame DSLRs, although some vignetting may occur when focusing at infinity. The lens construction includes nine elements in seven groups, and two of the lens groups move to control focus and prevent barrel distortion. This design also helps to maintain high image sharpness, high clarity and colour fidelity. A 14-blade rounded diaphragm contributes to the quality of background blur, particularly beneficial when working with close-up subjects and selective focus techniques. Features - 60mm prime lens with Pentax K mount compatible with full-frame sensors as well as APS-C sensors, where it will provide an equivalent focal length of 90mm. - The lens is capable of focusing on subjects as close as 2.4" with a magnification ratio of 2:1 for larger-than-life macro shots without the need for extension tubes or adapters. Additionally, the lens can also achieve infinity focus with a magnification ratio of 1:10 for general photographic applications.
