Combining an exceptionally wide field of view with the ability to correct perspective distortion, the Venus Optics Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift Lens for Canon RF mount is an ideal lens for architectural and interior applications. The wide 110° angle of view is complemented by an impressive +/- 11mm shift range to compensate for unwanted converging lines and keystone distortion. This shift control is further enhanced by a 360° rotation mechanism applying movements in various directions to accommodate both horizontal and vertical shooting orientations. Additionally, as a member of the Zero-D lens series, this 15mm f/4.5 also renders scenes with a high degree of precision and very low distortion.
In terms of optics, two aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements are featured, which reduces both spherical and chromatic aberrations for enhanced sharpness and clarity. An anti-reflective coating also helps to control flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color rendering. The lens uses a manual focus design to work with subjects as close as 7.9 inches away and features a five-blade diaphragm to produce distinct 10-point sunstars.
As a member of the Zero-D series, this lens has a rectilinear design that renders subjects with minimal distortion to suit architectural, interior, and landscape applications.
A built-in +/- 11mm shift adjustment helps to correct perspective distortion and eliminate keystone distortion.
The enhanced 14-blade diaphragm creates exceptional sunstars when working at higher apertures and improves the quality of out-of-focus areas.
The large 65mm-diameter image circle easily covers full-frame sensors without any vignetting.
