Combining an exceptionally wide field of view with the ability to correct perspective distortion, the Venus Optics Laowa 20 mm f/4 Zero-D Shift lens is ideal for architectural and interior photography. Offered here with a Canon EF mount, the lens's wide 94° field of view is complemented by an impressive shift range of +/- 11 mm to compensate for unwanted converging lines and keystoning. Furthermore, as a member of the Zero-D lens series, this lens also renders scenes with great accuracy and very low distortion.
Optically, two aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements are present, reducing spherical and chromatic aberrations to improve sharpness and clarity. A "Frog Eye" hydrophobic coating also protects the front element from water droplets and moisture. The lens uses a manual focus system to work with subjects up to 9.8" away and features a fourteen-blade aperture to produce circular, smooth bokeh and specular highlights when stopped down and when photographing point light sources.
Ultra wide-angle lens designed for Canon EF full-frame cameras that can also be used with APS-C models where it provides an equivalent focal length of 32 mm.
As a member of the Zero-D series, this lens features an optical design that renders subjects with minimal distortion to suit architectural, interior and landscape applications.
The built-in +/- 11 mm shift adjustment helps correct perspective distortion and eliminate keystoning.
The large image circle easily covers full-frame sensors without vignetting. Additionally, this lens can also be adapted to certain medium format mirrorless cameras, where a shift of +/- 8 mm is available.
Two aspherical elements limit spherical aberrations and distortion to improve sharpness and accurate rendering.
Three extra-low dispersion elements reduce chromatic aberrations and colour fringing for increased clarity and colour neutrality.
The manual focus design and a minimum focusing distance of 9.8" are suited to working with close-up subjects.
The fourteen-blade aperture creates circular, smooth bokeh and specular highlights when stopped down and when photographing point light sources.
The 360° rotating lens hood prevents unwanted reflections and washed-out images and allows you to adjust the angle of the hood to avoid blocking the image during extreme shifts in composition.
The "Frog Eye" hydrophobic coating protects the front element from water droplets and moisture.
Compatible with the optional shift lens bracket for more balanced mounting and to better enable use of the lens for parallax-free panoramic photography with shift.
