The Samyang 100mm F2.8 ED UMC MACRO lens is the latest offering from Samyang Optics. Compatible with full-frame sensors, the Samyang 100mm is a true macro lens offering a 1:1 reproduction ratio for breathtaking close-ups and macro shots as well as creative photography. With its vibrant colour reproduction and delicately blurred backgrounds (bokeh), it is an ideal lens for close-ups of flowers and insects, portrait photography, or general medium-range work.


This lens comprises 15 optical elements arranged in 12 groups, including a high refractive index (HR) lens and an extra-low dispersion (ED) lens to minimise chromatic aberrations and other artefacts, achieving maximum resolution and image quality across the entire image. Samyang Optics' Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) treatment is used to optimise light transmission and minimise flare and ghosting. It offers a close focusing distance of up to 0.307m.


Samyang Optics' Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) technology minimises flare and ghosting to produce a neutral colour balance. The maximum close-up magnification is 1:1, but it can also be used as a 100mm telephoto lens for various applications such as landscapes and portraits.


The 9 diaphragm blades deliver a beautiful natural bokeh, even at small apertures. The lens mount is compact and robust, constructed from high-strength aluminium alloy. The Samyang 100 macro lens is fitted with a removable/detachable lens hood to minimise flare and ghosting.
