The Samyang 100mm F2.8 ED UMC MACRO lens is the latest addition to the Samyang Optics range. Compatible with full-frame sensors, the Samyang 100mm is a true macro lens offering a 1:1 reproduction ratio for stunning close-ups, macro and creative photography. Offering vivid colour reproduction and smooth background blur (bokeh), it is an ideal lens for close-up images of flowers and insects, bust portraits or general medium-distance photography.


This lens comprises 15 optical elements arranged in 12 groups, including a high refractive index (HR) lens and an extra-low dispersion (ED) lens to minimise chromatic aberrations and other artefacts, achieving maximum resolution and image quality across the entire frame. Samyang Optics' Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) treatment is used to optimise light transmission and minimise flare and ghosting. It allows close focusing down to 0.307 m.


Samyang Optics' Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) technology minimises flare and ghosting to produce a neutral colour balance. The maximum magnification for close-ups is 1:1, but it can also be used as a 100mm telephoto lens for various applications such as landscapes and portraits.


The 9 aperture blades offer beautiful natural bokeh, even when stopping down. The lens mount is compact and robust, built from high-strength aluminium alloy. The Samyang 100 macro lens is fitted with a detachable/removable lens hood to minimise flare and ghosting.
