The Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO cine lens is the cine/video version of the Samyang 100mm F2.8 ED UMC MACRO lens, incorporating the same excellent optics, but with a built-in gear reduction system for video equipment with follow focus systems. Full-frame compatible, suitable for interchangeable-lens cameras and camcorders equipped with 24x36mm (full-frame) or smaller sensors. It is also part of the VDSLR II cine lens range, which reproduces the same image colours and the same positioning of the aperture and focus rings to maximise comfort during shooting. The Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO allows for more controlled video work with T-stop markings and a focus ring fitted for the follow focus system, enabling silent and smooth de-clicked aperture control and smooth focusing. In addition, the distance scale and T values are marked on both sides of the lens for convenience.


1:1 reproduction ratio for stunning close-ups, macro and creative photography. With vibrant colour reproduction and a smooth background blur (bokeh), it is an ideal lens for close-up images of flowers and insects, or for capturing portraits, or for general medium-distance work.


This lens comprises 15 elements in 12 groups, including a high refractive index (HR) lens element and an extra-low dispersion (ED) lens element to minimise chromatic aberration and other artefacts in order to achieve maximum resolution and image quality across the entire image. The Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) treatment by Samyang Optics is used to optimise light transmission and minimise reflections and ghosting. Offers close focusing down to 0.307m.


The 9 aperture blades deliver beautiful natural bokeh even in the closed position. The mount is compact and sturdy, built from high-strength aluminium alloy. The Samyang 100 Macro VDSLR lens is fitted with a removable/detachable lens hood to minimise reflections and ghosting.
