The Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO cine lens is the cinema/video version of the Samyang 100mm F2.8 ED UMC MACRO lens, incorporating the same excellent optics, but with an integrated gear system for video configurations with focus tracking systems. Full-frame compatible, suitable for interchangeable lens cameras and camcorders equipped with 24x36mm (full-frame) or smaller sensors. It is also part of the VDSLR II cine lens range, reproducing the same image colour and the same placement of the aperture and focus rings to optimise comfort during shooting. The Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO enables more controlled video work with T-stop markings and a focus ring installed for the tracking system, allowing silent and smooth control of the de-clicked aperture and smooth focusing. In addition, the distance scale and T values are marked on both sides of the lens for added convenience. 1:1 reproduction ratio for stunning close-ups, macro photography and creative photography. With faithful colour reproduction and soft background blur (bokeh), it is an ideal lens for close-up images of flowers and insects, capturing bust portraits, or general medium-distance work. This lens comprises 15 optical elements in 12 groups, including a high refractive index (HR) lens element and an extra-low dispersion (ED) lens element to minimise chromatic aberration and other artefacts in order to achieve maximum resolution and image quality across the entire image. Samyang Optics' Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) treatment is used to optimise light transmission and minimise reflections and ghosting. It allows close focusing down to 0.307m. The 9 aperture blades deliver beautiful natural bokeh even in the closed position. The lens mount is compact and robust, built from high-strength aluminium alloy. The Samyang 100 Macro VDSLR lens is fitted with a removable/detachable lens hood to minimise reflections and ghosting.
