The Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO cinema lens is the cinema/video version of the Samyang 100mm F2.8 ED UMC MACRO lens, with the same excellent optics but equipped with an integrated gear system for video equipment with follow focus systems. Full-frame compatible, it is suited to interchangeable lens cameras and camcorders equipped with 24x36 mm (full-frame) or smaller sensors. It is also part of the VDSLR II cinema lens range offering the same colour reproduction and the same positioning of the aperture and focus rings to maximise comfort during shooting. The Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO enables more controlled video work thanks to T-stops and a focus ring fitted for the follow focus system, allowing silent and smooth control of the declicked aperture and smooth focusing. In addition, the distance scale and T-stops are marked on both sides of the lens for convenience. 1:1 reproduction ratio for breathtaking close-ups and creative macro photography. Offering vibrant colour reproduction and delicately blurred background areas (bokeh), this is an ideal lens for close-up images of flowers and insects, for capturing portraits, or for general medium-distance work. This lens comprises 15 elements arranged in 12 groups, including a high-refractive index (HR) lens and an extra-low dispersion (ED) lens to minimise chromatic aberrations and other artefacts in order to achieve maximum resolution and image quality across the entire image. The Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) by Samyang Optics is used to optimise light transmission and minimise stray reflections and ghosting. It allows close focusing down to 0.307 m. The 9 aperture blades offer a beautiful natural bokeh even when stopping down the aperture. The lens mount is compact and solid, built from high-strength aluminium alloy. The Samyang 100 VDSLR macro lens is equipped with a removable/detachable lens hood to minimise stray reflections and ghosting.
