The Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO cine lens is the cine/video version of the Samyang 100mm F2.8 ED UMC MACRO lens, offering the same excellent optics, but with a built-in gear for video equipment with follow focus systems. Full-format compatible, suitable for interchangeable-lens cameras and camcorders equipped with 24x36mm (full-frame) or smaller sensors. It is also part of the VDSLR II cine lens range, reproducing the same image colours and the same location/position of the aperture/focus rings to maximise comfort during shooting. The Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO enables more controlled video work with T-stop graduations and a focus ring fitted for the follow focus system, allowing silent and smooth control of the de-clicked aperture and smooth focusing. In addition, the distance scale and T-stops are marked on both sides of the lens for convenience. 1:1 reproduction ratio for stunning close-ups and creative macro photography. Offering vivid colour reproduction and soft blurred highlights (bokeh), it is an ideal lens for close-up images of flowers and insects, or for capturing bust portraits, or for general medium-distance work. This lens comprises 15 optical elements arranged in 12 groups, including one high-refractive-index (HR) element and one extra-low dispersion (ED) element to minimise chromatic aberration and other artefacts in order to achieve maximum resolution and image quality across the entire image. Samyang Optics' Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) treatment is used to optimise light transmission and minimise reflections and ghosting. Allows close focusing down to 0.307m. The 9 diaphragm blades provide beautiful natural bokeh even when stopping down the aperture. The lens mount is compact and robust, constructed from high-strength aluminium alloy. The Samyang 100 VDSLR macro lens is fitted with a removable/detachable lens hood to minimise reflections and ghosting.
