The Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO cinema lens is the cinema/video version of the Samyang 100mm F2.8 ED UMC MACRO lens, offering the same excellent optics but with an integrated gear system for video devices equipped with follow focus systems. Full-frame compatible, suitable for interchangeable lens cameras and camcorders equipped with 24x36mm (full-frame) or smaller sensors. It is also part of the VDSLR II cinema lens range, reproducing the same image colours and the same positioning of the aperture and focus rings to maximise convenience during shooting. The Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO enables more controlled video work with T-stop markings and a focus ring fitted for the follow focus system, allowing silent and smooth control of the de-clicked aperture and smooth focusing. In addition, the distance scale and T-stops are marked on both sides of the lens for added convenience. 1:1 reproduction ratio for stunning close-ups and creative macro photography. Offering vivid colour reproduction and smooth background blur (bokeh), it is an ideal lens for close-up images of flowers and insects, capturing bust portraits, or for general medium-distance work. This lens comprises 15 optical elements in 12 groups, including a high refractive index (HR) lens and an extra-low dispersion (ED) lens to minimise chromatic aberration and other artefacts in order to achieve maximum resolution and image quality across the entire image. Samyang Optics' Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) treatment is used to optimise light transmission and minimise reflections and ghosting. Allows close focusing down to 0.307m. The 9-blade aperture delivers beautiful natural bokeh even when stopping down. The lens mount is compact and robust, built from high-strength aluminium alloy. The Samyang 100 Macro VDSLR lens is fitted with a removable/detachable lens hood to minimise reflections and ghosting.
