The Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO cine lens is the cine/video version of the Samyang 100mm F2.8 ED UMC MACRO lens, offering the same excellent optics but with an integrated gear system for follow focus systems on video platforms. Full-frame compatible, it is suitable for interchangeable lens cameras and camcorders equipped with 24x36mm (full-frame) or smaller sensors. It is also part of the VDSLR II cine lens range, which reproduces the same image colours and the same location/positioning of the aperture and focus rings to maximise convenience during shooting. The Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO enables more controlled video work with T-stop markings and a focus ring fitted for the follow focus system, allowing silent and smooth control of the de-clicked aperture and smooth focusing. In addition, the distance scale and T-stops are marked on both sides of the lens for added convenience. 1:1 reproduction ratio for stunning close-ups and macro and creative photography. Offering vibrant colour reproduction and a soft background blur (bokeh), it is an ideal lens for close-up images of flowers and insects, for creating bust-length portraits, or for general medium-range work. This lens comprises 15 optical elements in 12 groups, including a high refractive index (HR) lens element and an extra-low dispersion (ED) lens element to minimise chromatic aberrations and other artefacts for maximum resolution and image quality across the entire frame. Samyang Optics' Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) is used to optimise light transmission and minimise reflections and ghosting. It offers close focusing down to 0.307m. The 9 diaphragm blades deliver a beautiful natural bokeh even when stopping down the aperture. The lens mount is compact and robust, built from high-strength aluminium alloy. The Samyang 100 VDSLR macro lens is fitted with a removable/detachable lens hood to minimise reflections and ghosting.
