Arri Master Anamorphic 60/T1.9 M
The ARRI Master Anamorphic lenses are the result of ARRI's long-term cooperation with Carl Zeiss. The new anamorphic lenses offer unique optical performance with optimised flares and bokeh as well as a state-of-the-art lens mount that provides protection against dust and water. The nine lenses in the Master Prime series (available in 28, 35, 40, 50, 60, 75, 100, 135 and 180mm) offer exceptional image quality and the latest anamorphic technology for distortion-free images without anamorphic breathing effects ("mumps" effect - face widening). The almost telecentric optical design reduces colour fringing and corner shading in images.
The Master Anamorphic lenses are the first anamorphic lenses designed from the ground up for modern digital cameras. Nevertheless, they work ideally with analogue film cameras. In conjunction with ARRI's ALEXA 4:3 cameras for exceptional image quality across the entire image. The Master Anamorphic lenses are optimised for an aesthetic look and have uniformly illuminated oval flares outside the focus area without sharp edges thanks to the new 15-blade iris system.
With its nine powerful prime focal lengths, ARRI's Master Anamorphic series has achieved an important milestone in terms of technology and handling for recording anamorphic images with digital and film cameras in 35mm format.
For the first time, it has been possible to combine compactness, low weight, high speed, exceptional image quality and minimal distortion in an anamorphic series. The ARRI Master Anamorphics deliver beautiful out-of-focus background areas and a soft, cinematic look, whilst being as quick and easy to use on set as other modern cinema lenses.
Features
- 60mm T1.9 prime lens with PL LDS mount
- Low distortion for true cinemascope
- Cinema-look bokeh (blur behaviour) with high contrast and pleasant transition to blur
- Beautiful skin tones and accurate colour rendering
- Typical of Cinemascope: In blur, highlights are reproduced in an oval shape
- Large image field for complete freedom in image composition
- Wide T1.9 aperture for shallow depth of field
- Steel PLS LDS (Lens Data System) mount with communication interface
- ARRI Lens Data System (LDS) for lens metadata
- Almost no image breathing and no anamorphic image breathing (wide faces)
- Colour characteristics are perfectly matched to other ARRI/ZEISS prime lenses and ARRI/Fujinon zooms
