Arri Master Anamorphic 75/T1.9 F
ARRI Master Anamorphic lenses are the result of a long-term collaboration between ARRI and its long-standing partner, Carl Zeiss. These new anamorphic lenses offer unique optical performance, with optimised flares and bokeh, as well as next-generation lens barrels providing enhanced protection against dust and water. The seven Master Anamorphic lenses (35, 40, 50, 60, 75, 100 and 135 mm) are perfectly colour-matched to the other ARRI/ZEISS prime lenses and ARRI/FUJINON zoom lenses.
The anamorphic aesthetic has long been a cornerstone of major Hollywood productions and is immediately associated with an epic look designed to capture not only breathtaking landscapes, but also the subtlety of the human face. The new ARRI Master Anamorphic lenses offer revolutionary optical technology with virtually no breathing effect, no distortion and no anamorphic mumps. Their near-telecentric optical design reduces colour fringing and vignetting in the corners of the image.
These are the first anamorphic lenses designed from the ground up for modern digital cameras, although they also work with film cameras. However, they particularly benefit from their combination with the ARRI ALEXA 4.3, ALEXA, XT, SXT and ALEXA MINI cameras for exceptional overall image quality.
ARRI Master Anamorphic lenses are optimised for an aesthetic look and feature uniformly illuminated oval out-of-focus areas without hard edges, thanks to a newly developed iris with 15 aperture blades. The lens barrel is based on the same reliable mechanics as the industry-recognised ARRI Master Prime lenses, but with even better sealing against dust and moisture. The entirely new focus mechanism eliminates time-consuming mechanical adjustments on set.
Features
- Virtually no image breathing effect
- No anamorphic mumps effect
- Optimised anamorphic bokeh: uniformly illuminated oval out-of-focus areas
- New iris developed with 15 aperture blades
- Pleasing out-of-focus areas with a traditional anamorphic look and unique visual language
