Arri Master Anamorphic 28/T1.9 F
The Master Anamorphic 28 mm lens is the widest angle in an ARRI/Zeiss series offering low distortion and a fast T1.9 aperture for shallow depth of field. This anamorphic lens offers the skin tones and colour rendering for which Zeiss is renowned, and matches colourimetrically with other ARRI/Zeiss lenses and ARRI/Fujinon zooms. Its 15-blade iris produces a cinematic oval bokeh with a smooth transition. Focus breathing is minimal and there is no "anamorphic mumps" effect on your subjects. With no visible loss in the corners of your images, the full 2.39 format image is usable.
Designed from the ground up for use with digital cinema cameras, the ARRI/Zeiss Master Anamorphic lenses will deliver optimal image quality when used with an ARRI ALEXA camera in 4:3 format. They will also work with film cameras. Chromatic aberrations and corner vignetting are reduced thanks to the near-telecentric design of these multi-coated lenses.
This anamorphic lens delivers a 2.39:1 aspect ratio to your image when used with a Super-35 sensor. The Master Anamorphic 28 mm features a minimum focus distance of 26", focus markings in feet, a relatively light weight of 5.5 lb, and a compact length of 7.2". The lens is fitted with geared focus and aperture rings for use with a follow focus, zoom control, and wireless F/I/Z systems. The PL LDS mount of the Master Anamorphic 28 mm will transmit lens data to compatible cameras.
