The Master Anamorphic lens series, developed in collaboration by ARRI and Carl Zeiss, has set a new high standard for anamorphic lens optical performance. Producing organic images with pleasing skin tones and crisp, natural colours, the lenses display incredibly low distortion, so straight lines remain straight - even at close focus. For the first time, a perfect combination of compact size, minimal weight, very high speed and exceptional optical design with minimal distortion has been achieved in a set of anamorphic lenses. With beautiful blurred backgrounds and a smooth cinematic look, the Master Anamorphic lenses are as fast and easy to use on set as other modern cinema lenses. Image quality is consistently high across the entire frame, with the 15 iris blades beautifully rendering blurred backgrounds and giving a rounded edge to the classic oval flares, which are evenly illuminated. The punchy separation of the main subject from the background and the smooth focus transition contribute to a truly immersive, cinematic look. The 180 mm MA180 has an impressively fast aperture of T2.8 and a compact design, with a front diameter of only 95 mm. This lens displays the same superior image quality and perfect correction of optical aberrations as all other Master Anamorphics.
