Truly wide-angle and truly fast, the Nikon F 20mm f/1.4 DG HSM lens is a member of the venerable Art line of Sigma's Global Vision lens range and combines sophisticated optical design with robust physical construction. Featuring 15 elements in 11 groups, the lens design incorporates two "F" Low Dispersion (FLD) elements, five Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements and two aspherical elements to significantly reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations, as well as limit distortion for sharp, clear and evenly illuminated images. A Super Multi-Coating has also been applied to minimise surface reflections, flare and ghosting for increased contrast and colour accuracy. The wide-angle focal length and consistent image quality make this lens particularly well suited to landscape, interior, architectural and astrophotography applications, while the fast maximum aperture of f/1.4 makes it ideal for natural light and low-light photography.



Complementing the optical performance, an equally impressive Hyper Sonic Motor provides fast, smooth and near-silent autofocus. This focusing motor also allows manual focus override at any time simply by turning the focus ring for refined manual control and focusing down to 10.9". The lens body is constructed using a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material, which allows for working across a wide range of temperatures and conditions, and the lens mount is constructed from brass for long-term durability and mounting precision. Additionally, this lens is also compatible with the optional Sigma USB Dock for fine-tuning focus settings and other lens characteristics.

- The built-in HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) enables fast and silent autofocus, which is further complemented by an optimised AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance. The HSM also allows manual focus control at any time simply by turning the focus ring.

- A nine-blade rounded aperture diaphragm helps produce attractive background blur quality.
