Made to order

The Sigma 30mm f1.4 DC HSM is a large aperture f1.4 lens with an angle of view similar to human vision. With a minimum focusing distance of 40 cm to infinity, this fixed focal length lens creates very sharp, vivid and detailed images and is suitable for cameras equipped with an APS-C sensor. From the earliest stages of design, flare and ghosting effects were meticulously measured in order to establish a design resistant to strong incident light such as backlight. Sigma's Super Multi-Layer coating reduces flare and ghosting effects, and provides sharp, high-contrast images even in backlit conditions. The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) enables silent and fast autofocus, as well as permanent manual control, which is important for videographers and those requiring precise control. The lens is ideal for beautiful bokeh, snapshots, portraits, landscapes and much more.

Features

1. Our Art line offers a high level of artistic quality

Sigma organises all its interchangeable lenses into three product lines: Contemporary, Art and Sports. Designed with an emphasis on sophisticated optical performance and great expressive power, our Art line offers a high level of artistic expression. Developed with maximum priority given to artistic touch, they are designed to meet the expectations of users who favour creative and dramatic results over compactness and multifunctionality. In addition to landscapes, portraits, still life, close-ups and casual photography, they are perfect for the type of photography that unleashes the inner artist. Ideal for studio photography, they offer just as many possibilities of expression for capturing architecture, starry skies, underwater shots and many other scenes.

2. A large aperture standard lens at F1.4

Sigma was a pioneer in the category of large aperture standard lenses for the APS-C format with its 30mm F1.4 lens in 2005. Now that we have reorganised all our lenses into three product lines, we are proud to introduce the fully updated "SIGMA 30mm F1.4 DC HSM". Offering the shallow depth of field of F1.4 and an angle of view extremely close to that of human vision, this lens stimulates the desire to create and is ideal for many types of photographic expression. The bright viewfinder also makes it easier to focus and compose the image.

3. Exceptional image quality for enhanced photographic expression

The practical angle of view of a standard lens challenges photographers' expression. The SIGMA 30mm F1.4 DC HSM delivers exceptional optical performance in order to fully exploit its best quality of expression at all shooting distances. The optimal power distribution minimises field curvature, thus avoiding loss of image quality at the edges of photographs. The use of a double aspherical lens minimises spherical distortion, astigmatism and coma. Coma from point light sources is minimised near the edge of the image, and an attractive round bokeh effect is produced at large apertures.

4. Integration of a rear focusing system

The lens incorporates a rear focusing system that prevents focus-dependent aberration variations, allowing a high level of image quality across the entire image. With their invariable barrel length, these lenses also improve balance and stability for the photographer. Furthermore, as the front of the lens does not rotate, polarising filters can be used with greater convenience.
