Its bright maximum aperture of f/1.7 offers notable focus control for working with shallow depth of field techniques and also presents advantages in challenging lighting conditions. The optical design incorporates a pair of aspherical elements to suppress spherical aberrations and distortion, ensuring high sharpness and precise rendering. Individual elements have also received multi-coating treatment to control surface reflections and flare, thereby improving contrast in bright lighting conditions.
