Cooke Front Anamorphic/i SF Prime Lens - 75mm T2.3
All the anamorphic lens characteristics demanded by filmmakers today with the Cooke Look® and oval bokeh. This is the Cooke Anamorphic /i Look. Beautifully rendered images for film and particularly well-suited for use with digital cameras. The Anamorphic /i lens corrects aberrations exceptionally well across the entire image surface - astigmatism, lateral and longitudinal colour - which will give shape, structure and soul to your images.nnWhilst the "look" is crucial, precision engineering and seamless integration with other equipment are equally important. The Anamorphic /i lenses, prime lenses available in ten focal lengths, are colour-matched to our S4/i, 5/i and miniS4/i lenses.nnIdeal for close-ups and product shots, the Cooke 65mm Macro Anamorphic /i 2X Prime lens has a magnification ratio of 4.1:1 with a close focus of 5.5" from the front of the lens.nnNow, you have even more latitude. We've gone even further with our new Anamorphic/i SF lenses which are specially manufactured with a coating that allows for even more creative options. "SF" stands for Special Flair as they allow you to push flares, bokeh and other aberrations into new visual territory. Complementary to the Anamorphic/i lens series, they are available in focal lengths of 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, 135mm, 180mm and 300mm.nnThe Anamorphic /i lenses deliver superb optical and mechanical performance. Distortion, veiling glare, flares and all aberrations are controlled at all apertures across the entire field of view. Like our S4/i, 5/i and miniS4/i prime lenses, the cam-type focus mechanism allows for smooth focus adjustments. Modular construction increases ease of service and maintenance. The Anamorphic /i lenses are designed and manufactured by us to our traditional high standards in Leicester, England.nnKey FeaturesnnAnamorphic /i lenses available: 25, 32, 40, 50, 65 MACRO, 75, 100, 135, 180 and 300mm with 2x squeezennT2.3 to T22 aperturennT2.6 to T22 - 65mm MACROnnDelivers anamorphic lens characteristics, including 2:1 oval bokeh for out-of-focus highlightsnnThe Cooke Look® and colour-matched with all other Cooke prime lensesnnParticularly well balanced for astigmatism and corrected for lateral and longitudinal aberrations across the entire image surfacennLinear iris
Equipped with next-generation /i Squared* technology for lens metadata capturennAward-winning cam-type focus mechanism enabling smooth focus adjustmentsnnOur Cooke Anamorphic/i prime lenses come with /i technology, and are designed for all professional PL-mount cinema cameras, film and electronic. The /i technology provides cinematographers and camera operators with vital information on lens settings, focus distance, aperture and depth of field, hyperfocal distance, serial number, owner data, lens type and focal length in both metric and feet measurements. For zoom lenses, zoom position is displayed.nnFocus ScalesnTwo opposing focus scales - metric and feet. Scales marked from infinity to minimum focus distance.nFocus Drive Gearn140 teeth 0.8 metric module x 6.0mm wide x 102mm from image plane.nIris ScalesnTwo opposing linear T scales - whole and third stops marked.nIris Drive Gearn134 teeth 0.8 metric module x 4.0mm wide x 82mm from image plane.nnKey Features of Cooke Anamorphic /i Technology LensesnnOptical DesignnnThe optics are designed to deliver maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion and spherical aberration.nnElectronicsnnAccessible via a cable connector near the lens mount and contacts in the mount that sync with compatible /i cameras and accessories.nnColour BalancennAll Cooke Anamorphic/i prime lenses are colour-balanced to a specification within Kodak-approved parameters and are colour-matched and compatible with Cooke 5/i, Cooke S4/i, miniS4/i lenses, and the CXX 15-40mm T2 S4/i zoom.nnAperturennAll Cooke Anamorphic/i prime lenses have a true aperture of T2.3 and cover Super 35mm format, except the 65mm MACRO which has a T2.6 aperture.nnIndex MarksnnEvery index mark is labelled. More detailed markings allow for more precise focus control.nnFocus MovementnnOur Academy Award®-winning cam focus movement, combined with the additional advantage of a large lens barrel diameter, has allowed for an increase in the number of focus markings, particularly in close focus. Spherical aberration has been controlled across the entire focal length range to eliminate compensation for back focus changes with aperture. A four-point contact bearing ensures positive, backlash-free movement.nnFocus GraduationnnLarge clear numbers on both sides of the focus barrel benefit the focus puller when shooting under challenging lighting conditions. Additionally, the entrance pupil position is engraved on the lens.nnCamera MountsnnReinforced Cooke PL mount with /i technology contacts.nnCompatibilitynnAll Cooke Anamorphic/i lenses have a common, fixed 110mm front diameter, except for the 25, 65 MACRO and 300mm focal lengths and Anamorphic/i zoom lenses, which are 136mm. All have a 134T x 0.8 iris drive gear.nnExternal FinishnnA scratch-resistant PTFE hard anodised finish is provided on all Cooke lenses, offering a durable, wear-resistant surface to meet the most demanding environmental conditions.nnIrisnnAn eleven-blade linear iris assembly is fitted to the Cooke Anamorphic/i prime lenses with an aperture range of T2.3 to T22; T2.6 to T22 on the 65mm MACRO, T2.8 to T22 on the 180mm, and T3.5 to T22 on the 300mm.nnWeight/Size RationnThe lenses are designed for all shooting applications, including handheld and Steadicam, offering a comfortable balance ratio with the latest compact cameras.nnReliability and Service
The Cooke Anamorphic/i prime lenses are designed to meet a market requirement for totally reliable performance with minimum downtime.
