Our Cooke S7/i prime lenses are supplied with /i Technology, and are designed for all professional cinema and electronic cameras with PL mount. /i Technology provides cinematographers and camera operators with essential information about lens settings, focus distance, aperture and depth of field, hyperfocal distance, serial number, owner data, lens type and focal length in both metric and feet measurements. For zoom lenses, the zoom position is displayed.

Features 

Optical Design -- The optics are designed to deliver maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion and spherical aberration. Cooke /i Technology Lens Electronics Accessible via a cable connector near the lens mount and contacts in the mount that synchronise with /i compatible cameras and accessories.

Colour Balance -- All Cooke S7/i prime lenses are colour balanced, colour matched and compatible with Cooke S4/i, miniS4/i, Anamorphic/i and PANCHRO/i Classic lenses.

T2.0 Aperture -- Cooke S7/i prime lenses have a true T2.0 aperture and cover 35/Super 35mm, Full Frame and beyond.

Index Marks -- Each index mark is labelled. More detailed markings allow for more precise focus control.

Focus Movement -- Our Academy Awards® winning cam focus mechanism, combined with the advantage of a large lens barrel diameter, has enabled an increase in the number of focus marks, particularly in close focus. Spherical aberration has been controlled across the entire focal range to eliminate compensation for back-focus changes with aperture. A four-point contact bearing ensures smooth, positive movement without play.

Camera Mounts -- Reinforced Cooke PL mount with /i Technology contact.

Focus Graduation -- Large clear numbers on both sides of the focus barrel assist the focus puller when shooting in challenging lighting conditions.

Compatibility -- All Cooke S7/i prime lenses have a common fixed front diameter of 110mm, with a 140T x 0.8 mod focus gear and 134T x 0.8 iris gear.

External Finish -- A scratch-resistant PTFE hard anodised finish is applied to all Cooke lenses, providing a durable, resilient surface to meet the most demanding environmental conditions.

Iris -- A nine-blade linear iris module is integrated into the Cooke S7/i prime lenses.

Weight/Size Ratio -- The lenses are designed for all shooting applications, including shoulder mount and Steadicam, offering a comfortable balance ratio with the latest compact cameras.
